FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What applicants, partners and parents ask us most often.
What is UG StartUp Factory?
The innovation center of University of Georgia. We help students and pupils turn an idea into a real product through programs, mentorship and community.
Who can apply?
UG students and school pupils aged 16 and over. Some programs are open beyond the university as well — each program page lists its own requirements.
How much does it cost?
Taking part is free. The workspace, the mentoring and the sessions are funded by the university and our partners.
Do I need a team already?
No. You can apply alone — we help you find teammates in the first weeks. A finished team is usually between two and five people.
What do startups get at the end?
Mentorship, a workspace, legal and business advice, funding for the strongest prototypes, and a demo day in front of investors and partners.
How do we become a partner?
Write to heystartup@ug.edu.ge. Partners contribute mentors, speakers, jury members, prizes or program funding.
